Our volunteer organising team

Ophélie Derancy
Ophélie graduated from ISIT, Paris, in 2024. Based in Paris, she is a conference interpreter with French A, English B, and Spanish and Italian C.
She founded the Booth Club in June 2023 and is passionate about sharing her love for all things interpreting. Always on the lookout for new and creative ways to bring people together, she strives to foster a supportive community.
Within the Booth Club, she ensures that everyone feels comfortable and valued. She always tries to craft speeches that challenge members while preserving their confidence.
Divya Vogel
Divya is a conference interpreter and graduate of the University of Geneva, working with German A and English and French B.
She divides her time between Geneva and Glasgow and likes to spend hours picking up random tidbits of information on Wikipedia. Most recently, she’s had a lot of fun making this website.
Within the Booth Club, she’s known for her pragmatic approach and love for data. Her thorough speeches on geography, history, current affairs and offbeat topics feature many an offhand remark as she’s successfully convinced herself she’s witty.
Matilde Cesta
Matilde is a conference interpreter who graduated from the University of Geneva. Her language combination is Italian A, Spanish and French B, English C. She’s currently working on activating a “dormant” Portuguese.
Based in Toulouse, France, you can easily find her all around Europe, either for work or to practise a new language!
Within the Booth Club, she’s known for being a calming force and natural mediator. But don’t be fooled, she won’t stay calm for long when delivering a passionate or polemic speech on social issues or current affairs, usually in Italian or Spanish.

Our members
The Booth Club is a flourishing practice group and community with more than 150 members representing over 15 nationalities and collectively speaking 20-odd languages.
